I’ve Got Time
Dawn on the flat where my spirit get capped
The internal dialog depletes me
A short puff up to the bluff full of sweat and grunts
Mesmerising birdsong here to greet me
Up here eagles sore
Majestic as the moth
Tinkerbelling through existence beneath me
I perch up high
Magpies float by
Horizon haze waves up to greet me
Tussocks rustle soft and tough
Clouds streak by with a sigh
Roosters crow, and cockies cackle
Silky spiderwebs taunt dragonfly’s
She come’s to say hello,
Oh no, look!
There she goes
Two weeks on this earth,
Then goodbye
She’s as precious as the the warmth,
As the wind, as the day
As the echidna! Who waddles on her way.
