Co-created mural projects: turning space into place.
With over 5 years experience designing and facilitating group workshops for large scale public murals, I have co-created meaningful placemaking experiences with all ages, raging from 3+ preschool, through K-12, adults, seniors, First Nations and differently abled.
My background in graphic design, fine art and sign writing, combined with a deep passion for psychology and self care results in a unique approach to co-designing artworks and co-creating the end result.
I approach each community group as a new client, bringing them in to the design process, no matter what age.
Each project is site specific, and a uniquely designed to meet each community groups needs.

This artwork was co-designed through an on-site workshopping experience with two representatives from each grade from K-6. This project required two weeks painting on site and one day workshopping with over 170 students, teachers and parents for individual contributions.

Community engagement murals, placemaking projects and team building workshops make up some of my favourite experiences as a creative. I firmly believe in the power of raising youth voices, and love hearing the stories of community groups from diverse backgrounds no matter what age.
